Two Amys: Amy Walsh & Amy Ross

Amy Walsh is an artist I came across on Etsy. I love her 'specimen' prints -- which remind me of Amy Ross' work . Both artists create "Naturemorphs' -- to use the phrase coined by Amy Ross --but in very different styles.
Ms. Walsh also blogs: www.amywalsh.typepad.com.
Ms. Ross's work currently can be seen in shows at Allston Skirt Gallery & College of the Holy Cross in Boston and at Project 4 in D.C.

Opening Reception: 31st Small Works Show

My work won a Juror Award at the 31st Small Work Competition & Exhibiton and the opening for this show is tomorrow from noon to 4 pm at 80 Washington Square East Galleries. The exhibition will be on view through March 14, 2008.
Update: Maria Passarotti is also in this show!

How to Brew Tea

There are different theories on how to properly brew tea.
I drink a lot of black tea, such as Earl Grey & English Breakfast and I think it is best to have the water as hot as possible when pouring it onto black tea. However for green tea , I find it better to have non-boiling water. If the water is very hot green tea can turn bitter during the brewing process.
Here are two links that lead you to posts about tea preparation that I found informative:

Taking a Break

I'm spending a little time away from the computer and spending it with the horses instead.

Belize

Here are a couple of snapshots from Belize -- a beautiful country and for me another home. I am always happy to return to Belize. Erik Torkells was on our flight to Belize City and hopefully Belize will be featured in Budget Travel Magazin in a future issue.
