Superdad AKA The Original Wundermensch (I love you, Dad)

Dad & I, Iran 1970's © Buesing

My dad has a big birthday today:

Happy Birthday, Dad!

My dad is the greatest. I am very lucky because I have two very loving and supportive parents.
When you grow up, you know what you know. Now I realize how fortunate I have been. My childhood could hardly have been any better. But it is not all luck. My parents have always worked very hard to provide me with a good home. Not just financially, but also emotionally. I cannot think of a day I did not feel loved or I did not understand that whatever my parents were doing was out of love and with good intentions. Even when we quarreled.

As my husband likes to say, the magical ingredient is effort. And that is true and applies to all: work, relationships and health. Things are just better if you put your heart in it.

My father is all about effort. He is never selfish. And he is truly one of a kind. As my older nephew likes to say, there are people like you and I, and than there are people like Grandpa and Megan Fox ;)

Dad: Eli is right. You are extraordinary and I am so grateful to have you as a father and role model. I am grateful for all you taught and gave me.

I love you very much.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. When we don't feel like cooking and want or need to eat quickly, like many New Yorkers, we opt for pizza. On Valentine's Day, we opened the pizza box, and found the pie pictured below. It made us smile. Love Piola's heart shaped Pizza Funghi Misti!

Valentine's Day is supposed to be about love and romance. Too bad that so many of people are still not given equal rights. Not allowing same sex marriage is discrimination.
Stop the hating. As Lenny sang: Let Love Rule.
