Young New Yorkers

He said cat today. What else is there to say anyway?

Tonight while I was purchasing Urine Destroyer (that stuff ain't cheap but it works. Old cats got problems. Leave them alone.) at the local pet store with my precocious 10 month old, all over a sudden my boy pointed at an image of a feline and said "cat". And then he said it again and again. And then he said it on the phone to his dad and to his cats when we returned home. Totally amazing.

New Yorkers

(via Kottke.org) New York City has been my home longer than any other place I lived. And for the majority of my two decades plus here, I have resided in the same building. The best part of that has been my neighbors. My neighbors range from age 3 to 91 currently. I love hearing stories from my older neighbors about back- in-the-day. I never thought about taping them. But maybe I should. Dustin Cohen made a well heart warming short film about Frank Catalfumo, a 91 year old cobbler from Brooklyn. See it below.
