Big Blue Day

During Sandy and after, we listened a lot to WNYC by candle light. And while we waited for the electricity to come back on, I grew fond of Soundcheck. Tonight as my son, husband and cats were already soundly asleep John Schaefer played Brian Eno's Deep Blue Day. It magically filled the room and gently ended a crazy week.

Boston & The World

Boston. Such horrible news out of Boston today. My friends in Boston are fine. And I am relieved. I see people on social media expressing their relief that their friends and family are fine. But there are families who lost someone in Boston (or elsewhere) today. There are people who were injured.
To say "I am so glad you are ok" is a deeply sincere sentiment, but also a jarring reminder that someone is not - and not only in Boston. The world breaks my heart.

If you find yourself on the L.E.S. swing by Sasha Wolf Gallery to see Paul McDonough's work. Sight Seeing is an excellent selection of images. Mr. McDonough's work reminds me what photography is all about.
